Cerebral palsy is a broad term for a wide range of physical disabilities caused by damage to the brain.  This can develope in early childhood or in the pre-natal environment. Posture and impaired can result as well as intellectual disability, epilepsy, blindness or deafness depending on the area of the brain affected and the extent of the damage. About 500,000 and 700,000 Americans suffer from cerebral palsy.
