Fisheries

John's Cove Fisheries is located farther down from the beach. Boats
have a place to tie up here and the fishery itself packages the catch from
these boats for export and also processes herring roe. The herring is sometimes
imported off the Russian boats which fish our waters in the summer.
However, the main souce is our own herring fleet. John's Cove Fisheries
is a popular fish plant which sells its products all over the world . |

Gift Shop
Also in Cape Forchu there is a gift shop located at the
Lighthouse - open from May to October - where you can purchase souvenirs,
postcards, gifts, and ornaments.
