The old Bank Of Montreal

Brookside Estate

The County Jail

The Yarmouth Hotel

The old Bank of Montreal was torn down during the 1950s to make way for a  modern building. Brookside Estate, so-named because of its location beside a stream on Parade Street,  was demolished.  Still standing, however, are the two remaining buildings pictured above.  The County Jail is the oldest working jail in Nova Scotia.  The Old Yarmouth Hotel has not been in business for years as a travellers' accommodation, but is still a prominent building on Main Street.
